Originally from England, Simon joins the UK touring company after performing over 800 shows with the Australian and Japanese productions of We Will Rock You. Simon is one of the original We Will Rock You band members after successfully auditioning for Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen in 2003.
Simon is the proud owner of an exact replica of Brian May’s famous “Red Special” guitar, which is one of only 40 made by UK guitar builder, Andrew Guyton, which he plays in We Will Rock You.
Simon is also a very busy guitar teacher and session player, his recording credits include several ex-members of AC/DC.
Simon has also held guitar clinics for the launch of the Brian May model guitar in Tokyo, Japan in 2006 and was the featured guitarist involved with a project called Orchestra Victoria Rocks Queen in Melbourne in 2007, when told about these shows Brian May is quoted as saying “The Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo could not be in safer hands than Simon Croft.
